Birthdays and Anniversaries are important and they are celebrated. Thanks Lee for your kind words, safe travels and hope the funeral is a peaceful time for you all. I buy condensed milk tins 2 or 3 at a time lol. I usually bake Millionaires shortbread or Chocolate Brownies to take to film night at a friends house. As the husband is often working late that night, I also make cornish pasties too. Though I make them on 2 trays 'all in one' and cut into slices. Cheese, onion and potato with herb / seasoning in the filling. I tend to not water them as I'm so intent on not drowning them. Meanwhile the poor plant is parched. Lots of people seem to be getting into sock knitting. Maybe next year we'll have savoury ones on the menu and then perhaps we'll remember the sweet ones. The Valentine's Knit Along sounds good, look forward to seeing your makes. It's always handy to have spare cards, there's always some event that needs a card. I have a basket of cards that the boys can take their pick from too. I'll be sure to get a nice card that way, lol Cx My Creative Lifehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/06775981979710429788noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8400625799900292836.post-81021218500118093972018-02-15T08:00:41.380-08:002018-02-15T08:00:41.380-08:00There is always room for crochet bunting in my hea...There is always room for crochet bunting in my heart. We always have cheese and ham pancakes followed by sweet ones. My choice this year was maple syrup but I do like lemon and sugar, too. Have a good rest of the week.xChristinahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/11883091348839145603noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8400625799900292836.post-23152266869269224272018-02-15T07:24:17.622-08:002018-02-15T07:24:17.622-08:00Loved the rose, a beautiful alternative to flowers...Loved the rose, a beautiful alternative to flowers lasts so much longer. We didn't bother with pancakes this year, I always used to make them when the kids were at home but there's lots of things we don't do now that there's just the two of us. I'm the same as you though, lemon and sugar for me, though I don't mind golden syrup for a change. I've just cast on another pair of socks too, I'm joining in with a Valentine's Knit Along so I'm knitting socks with a heart pattern. The cards are lovely, I particularly like the elephants. I usually have a few cards in stock for different occasions, always handy. I've never read any Debbie Macomber books but I'd like to give the ones with a knitting theme a try, just as soon as I've worked my way through the pile of books already waiting for my attention.Johttps://www.blogger.com/profile/17436932004631816039noreply@blogger.com
