Hello

Hello there, it's been a very long while since I've last blogged. Whoa this is starting to sound like a confession! I've visited your blogs sporadically but mainly I've been using Instagram. It's quicker and far easier to upload straight from my phone, particularly if I want to edit something out from either a screen shot or photograph.

There's been the some good news and bad news, happy and sad all thrown in and mixed together as happens in life. Sadly my MIL passed away after battling a long illness. From that and helping to care for her throughout Lockdown we got to know Angus her Golden Retriever. She wanted us to care for him, so he now lives with us near the Lincolnshire coast. At 3 years old now, he's been with us for a year now.

We also had to have our precious boy QT 21 years old put down recently. Age was against him as he got progressively thinner, senile and the onset of kidney disease. It took him a while to get used to the dog, in the end he was ok but preferred to be left in peace. We loved him to bits and it's still a loss that takes a while to adjust to.

During lockdown, I've thought about yarn and reading among many things such as work, church and shopping etc. Too many things to think about. I've visited an Alpaca farm and purchased some yarn to make M a hat. The lady invited the Knit & Natter group to visit one day for a talk about yarn with tea & cake. Of course she'll want to sell her yarn but it'll be nice to learn more too.

The Fish & Chip jumpers in the photo were knitted by the local knit & natter group. For info just google the name and you should find a pattern and an explanation as to the name.

I've been reading lots (for me anyway), someone on Instagram challenged us all to think about our reading styles and preferences. I posted this picture of books that I started with in the juniors, I loved them all. At the moment, I'm reading a couple of books in series, they are Miss Read - Thrush Green, Rosamunde Pilcher - Seasons (my title) for Coming Home, The Shell Seekers, September and Winter Solstice.

Well, it's late and I've no idea if anyone is still following this blog. Sincere apologies for my absence, do say Hi if you've dropped by. Who knows, I might even pop back with some more news next time.

Bye for now and as always, thank you for reading.
