Bring me sunshine - Five on Friday

Hello everyone, I hope you are well. I'm joining with Five on Friday to celebrate Good Friday. Some of these photos were taken today and some last weekend.

1) Inside cheerfulness

2) Cheerful baskets teen 2 and M planted these up last year, last weekend I noticed that the flowers were opening up again.

3) Pots and borders - need to do some weeding.

4) Finished washcloth for M. I took it up to the bathroom for a sunny photo. For the washcloth pattern here I added a border of dc (uk terms), aran 100% cotton yarn and used a 5mm crochet hook. I also added a few more rows to the pattern to make it square.

5) QT 'resting' in the sun for a change. Cats, they say they sleep 18 hrs a day. I'm sure it's more than that.

Thank you for stopping by to read my sunny Five on Friday.

I don't usually put anything Christian on my blog but as it's Easter, I'll leave a link to UCB - United Christian Broadcasters. On this site you'll find all the info for radio stations and shows, reading 'word for today' and 'word for you today' and more.

Have a lovely Easter.

  2. Great photos! Loved all the sunshine. We finally had a sunny day today after four straight days of cloudy, cold, rainy weather. And, it's clouding up again tonight. I thought I'd read cats sleep 23 hours a day...but 18 might make more sense, our little cat is hyper I think. Doesn't get near her full 18-23. Hope you have a great weekend and a very happy Easter!

    1. Thanks Jean, There seems to be many figures for cats sleeping time. From 16-20 hrs a day to 23 out of 24 hrs. Kittens and young cats are probably too active practicing their hunting skills, before going outside and turning into killing machines. Cx

  3. I love your willow hanging basket with the spring-y flowers in it! It's fun to see your growing things emerging. I was outside doing just that in my garden today.. seeing what made it through the winter and what is coming up. What a cute cat!

    1. Thanks Teresa, I had a present once of a willow style hanging basket made up. It was after I'd been helping at a primary school where my sons went. I then saw spring bulbs, winter flowering pansies, fuschia with some silver and gold ivy in baskets on another blog. I thought they looked beautiful with some early colour. Cx

  4. Gorgeous sunny photographs. The perfect tonic this Saturday morning while I'm still under the weather. Have a lovely Easter. X

    1. Thanks Jules, sorry to hear you're under the weather. I hope you recover soon. When I or the boys have felt unwell or slow in recovering to normal, I've bought a tonic. We used to buy Seven Seas orange vitamins and minerals liquid but it seems to be unavailable everywhere. The last time we choose a different one - Metatone and teen 2 hated it, oops! All the best, take care of yourself, Cx

  6. I think QT should make it onto your Five on Friday lists every week, he's so gorgeous. It's nice to see a bit of sunshine, the rain has kept me awake all night and we're forecast snow on Monday, a bit of sunshine would be nice.

    1. He did have his own post up once all about him for his birthday. He is also in the labels on posts 22 times. You're right though, he's gorgeous. I'll try and get more pictures of him. To be fair he doesn't do much other than sleep and sit thinking about biscuits, birds, dinner or sleep. He'll be going out a bit more now the better weather is coming. He still refuses to use a cat flap unless I hold it open. In warmer weather he sleeps outside and wanders around the garden. Cx https://hooksandneedles68.blogspot.co.uk/2018/01/birthday-boy.html

  9. It's my favourite colour green but I've given it to my husband. I will crochet some more for myself in pinky colours as they look more feminine. I'm not a girly girl, so pink is a chance to be feminine in a house of all males lol, even the QT is a boy. Cx

    1. Thank you Linda, we are having a quiet family time over Easter. My husband has worked nights on taxi over some of it so it's been a bit quiet. He's managed to get some work done on the caravan on Friday. Cx
